Finance & Compliance Checklist - Revisited for 3/31

Survive and advance. That’s the focus of college basketball teams across the USA right now as they battle for glory in the NCAA tournament. By the end of this evening, we will have gone from 64 teams to 16 teams remaining.

We keep getting asked about year-end checklists from finance and accounting teams, law firms, and compliance firms. Here is our comprehensive checklist with a few key items called out as you push towards the end of Q1 this week:

  1. Tax: Fund K1s and Form 1065s for Funds, MgmtCo LLC, GP LLC

  2. Form ADV: to maintain ERA status you must file by 3/31

  3. Fund Audit: typically due 90 days after year-end
